What PocketChange is

PocketChange is an educational ledger for families. It is not a bank. Balances, allowance, and interest are play-money. We do not accept deposits or handle real payments.

What we collect

A grown-up account stores an email address and login credentials. Each child account stores a username and a view password that the grown-up creates, plus play-money balances, goals, and settings they choose. The Support form collects a name, email, and message so we can reply.

We do not collect kid photos, government IDs, Social Security numbers, or real bank or card numbers.

Kid accounts

Kids cannot create an account on their own. A grown-up creates every child login. Kid views are read-only: they cannot move money or change family settings. Profile pictures are chosen from built-in avatars — there are no photo uploads.

How we use information

We use account information to sign you in, show the family ledger, and keep the app working. Activity records may note that someone used the app so we can understand usage. Support messages are emailed to our support inbox so we can answer you. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and sessions

PocketChange uses cookies and session data so grown-ups and kids stay signed in while they use the app.

Your choices

A grown-up can change or delete their family account from the app. If you have a privacy question, start from Support or the FAQ.
